Happy New Year everyone!

The Library Team, Academic Skills Tutors and English Language Hub team will be taking a break for the festive period from Friday 22nd December 2023 until Wednesday 3rd January 2023.
You will still be able to access everything on the Library Portal and within our collections throughout this period - however the Library, Academic Skills and English Language Hub teams will not be available to answer any questions you may have during this time.
I’ve worked in universities for over a decade, including as a Teaching and Learning Librarian, Study Skills Tutor, and an Associate Lecturer in philosophy and anthropology. I support the School of Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT), and I specialise in student engagement. Get in touch if you’d like help with your research!
In the 12 months of 2023, my Library Service gave to me....
For the past four years I have been studying for a psychology degree at Arden University. Working as a teaching assistant in a school, being a parent of two primary aged children and trying to complete my psychology degree left me at times feeling like I was running around like a headless chicken. At that point in time out of all the balls I had in the air, my studies seemed to be the ball that I kept dropping and something had to give.
As 2023 draws to a close, we wanted to put something a bit special together for you in celebration of another successful year for Arden University. The Library Services Team are delighted to present…our Appvent Calendar! See what we did there?
Did you know you have an award-nominated Library service at your fingertips? And best of all it's entirely free to Arden students!
Arden’s Library Service has made the shortlist for the Outstanding Library Team award at the 19th annual Times Higher Education Awards, widely known as “the Oscars of higher education”.
The School of Law invites you to join them in their new Debate Club, taking place on 27th October, 1pm and 3rd November, 1pm!
By joining the Debate Club, you will have the opportunity to learn how to present your ideas and arguments whilst interrogating those of your opponents. This is an exciting opportunity to exercise your public speaking skills and develop confidence in putting forward your views.
