The Library Team and Academic Skills Tutors will be taking a break for the Christmas period from Friday 23 December 2022 until Tuesday 3 January 2023

You will still be able to access everything on the Library Portal and within our collections throughout this period - however the Library Team and Academic Skills Tutors will not be available to answer any questions you may have during this time.

I have a background in humanities, but love supporting students from varied fields. I can support you in most academic skills and especially enjoy teaching referencing and critical thinking. I can help you to build your confidence in understanding the requirements of academic work, as well as to learn to prioritise your tasks.

I have an academic background in English Language Teaching and teacher education. I’m happy to support university students in various academic skills including research, essay writing, paraphrasing, and referencing, and more specifically, collating research questions, writing literature reviews, qualitative research, research methodology, and critical writing.

The Library and Academic Skills team have been excited to run a series of Writers’ Retreats for students - online sessions which offer time, space and structure for independent study and reflection in an informal, supportive environment.
