How the Learning Success Hub can help you 

We offer the following services:

  • Access to a comprehensive digital Library Portal containing all the eBooks, journals and databases you need for study and assignments.
     
  • Specialised academic English support for writing and assignments if English is an additional language.
     
  • Customised academic skills support and workshops to help with study skills such as academic writing, using the Library, referencing and approaching assignments.
     
  • One-to-one appointments for personalised support from a member of the Learning Success Hub team.

What's new from the Learning Success Hub this semester?  

Academic Skills Team

  • One to one support available online for personalised help with essential skills like academic writing, structuring assignments, literature searching, and referencing.  
     
  • Optional workshops on a range of academic study skills available online.
     
  • Regular academic skills online drop-in on Tuesdays & Thursdays 12:00-13:00 no need to book, just join using this online link.
     
  • New resources and guidance on appropriate and ethical use of artificial intelligence.  

English Language Hub  

Library Portal  

  • AppsAnywhere - an online app store where you can find all the software applications you need for your studies in one convenient place!  
     
  • Access key and essential reading list resources of all your modules via the new Reading List pages on the Library Portal’s subject guides.
     
  • Need something that’s not in the Library collection? Use our new Request It! service to request books, chapters, or articles to be delivered straight to your inbox.
     
  • Explore the redesigned database pages on the Library Portal with more information and improved guidance on using key research databases.
     
  • Discover the new eBook Spotlight Collections covering a range of topics including academic study skills, inclusivity and diversity and more.
