The Learning Success Hub teams are working hard to make your learning experience as straightforward and accessible as possible.

Our Academic Skills Tutors, Librarians and English Language Lecturers offer one to one support sessions which you can use to discuss your accessibility needs.

Staff skills profileYou can view our profiles on the About Us page. Staff who support specific additional needs will have a tag under their name highlighting their areas of expertise.

Our Librarians have also recently started running an Introduction to Library Accessibility Tools workshop. In this session we demonstrate how to use a wide range of accessibility tools and services.

These include:

  • The SensusAccess document conversion tool which enables you to convert inaccessible documents into more accessible formats
  • The inbuilt functions on our eBook platforms such as read aloud and adapting the size, layout and style of the font.
  • The RNIB Bookshare service which is provided free of charge to any of our students who have an eligible print disability (this includes readers with visual impairments as well as learning differences including dyslexia, ADHD and autism).

The workshop runs every three weeks, and you can book your place through iLearn.

Finally, to find out more about the full range of tools and support available from the Learning Success Hub visit our Accessibility Tools page.
