Here at the library we’re always looking for ways to improve the service we provide to students and staff and your feedback is really important to us. We know that you’ve been wanting a wider variety of eBooks available for study and research and that’s why we’re delighted to announce our new eBook request process!

If you’re looking for an eBook and can’t find it on the Library Portal you can send us a request by filling out the form here: Request an eBook. You’ll also find a link to the form at the bottom of the left-hand menu on the EBSCO Discovery Service.

Just tell us the details of the eBook you’re after, and a little about what it’s needed for, and we’ll buy it if we can. There may be some titles that aren’t available in digital format, particularly older books, or that have been licensed for personal use (like on Kindle) but not for libraries. If we can’t fulfil your request, we’ll do our best to help you find some alternatives in our collection.

If we can buy the eBook you’ve requested, we’ll aim to have it purchased and available to access within 7 days (although sometimes titles can take more time so if it’s looking like you’ll have to wait a little longer we’ll let you know). Once the eBook is in the collection, we’ll email you with a direct link, and you’ll also be able to search for it on the Library Portal.

We hope that this new part of the library service enhances your educational experience at Arden, and we look forward to fulfilling as many requests as possible!

Please get in touch with the Library Team at libraries@arden.ac.uk if you have any questions.
