LIBRARY PORTAL GETS AN UPGRADE FOR THE NEW YEAR

From February onwards you will see some changes made to the Library Portal as part of the first phase in a series of exciting developments planned for 2023.

The schedule of improvements has been planned in response to the feedback we have received from staff and students since the Library Portal launched in August 2021.

We have now completed the first phase of development and are pleased to share the following updates:

  • A new look homepage with a single easier-to-use menu bar, to take you straight to the content and information you need

  • A new and improved support page, with FAQs and an enquiry form, for those times when you need support from one of the team

  • A brand new Library Search interface, with a  more modern and accessible look and feel, more powerful search functionality and a more effective way to save and manage resources for assignments and projects.

We are running workshops throughout February and March to introduce you to the key features of the new look Library Portal and search interface.

You can also find out more about the new search interface by viewing our sneak preview workshop recording.

All of the changes made to the Library are informed by student feedback, which is invaluable in helping us to grow, develop and improve Library provision for the University.

You can provide your feedback on the Library Portal here to inform future developments and also be in with a chance of willing £50 of Amazon vouchers
