Welcome to Green Libraries Week!

This week from 2nd – 6th October, Arden Library will be offering an exciting programme of activities based on the theme of “Green Libraries”, focusing on sustainability and climate change.   

We will be holding a prize draw for students who take part in our Green Libraries Week activities.  Get involved and you could be in with a chance of winning a Samsung tablet device, to read all your university eBooks on! Full terms and conditions here apply.

  • Tuesday 3rd October, 2pm-3pm – “Level Up Your Tech Game: Learn to Use the Library Like a Pro” 
  • Wednesday 4th October, 1pm-2pm – “Abraca-data! Become a Research Genius” 
  • Thursday 5th October, 11am-12pm – “Improve your skills with LinkedIn Learning” 
  • Thursday 5th October 3pm – 4pm – Poetry for Everybody: A Creative Writing Workshop
  • Friday 6th October, 12pm-1pm – “Let's Get Critical” 
  • Friday 6th October, 3.30pm - 4.30pm - Arden Writer’s Retreat

If you have a great idea that you’d like to share with others on greener living and being more sustainable, please send your top tip and your name to libraries@arden.ac.uk  

Your top tips will be shared in a blog post on the Library Portal for other students to enjoy! 


Help us curate an “Environment, Sustainability & Green Awareness” eBook collection: 

We want your suggestions to help us put together a collection of sustainability and green-themed eBooks for sharing during Green Libraries Week.  

Fill out the Request an eBook Form and we’ll add your requests to the collection if we can!
