On Thursday 21st May 2026 Arden University is celebrating the 15th annual Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD). 

As GAAD aims to get people thinking and talking about digital accessibility and inclusion, the Learning Success Hub is proud to highlight some of the key ways accessibility is being embedded at the heart of our services to support an inclusive, accessible, and empowering learning environment for all students. 

Accessible eBooks and Databases

Our main eBook and database platforms were designed and selected with accessibility in mind. Accessibility features including integrated read aloud (text-to-speech), options to change the text font, text size, and background colour.

SensusAccess conversion tool

This tool enables you to convert files into range of alternative formats to meet your specific reading needs. For example, inaccessible files, such as image-based PDFs or hard to read documents, can be converted into an accessible Word documents, audio files or digital braille.

RNIB Bookshare

If you have an eligible print disability, the Library team can provide access to RNIB Bookshare. This service provides textbooks in a variety of accessible formats. For more information and to see if you qualify visit RNIB Bookshare
