Kortext is now your new home for many of your key reading materials. Links in your lessons and access via the Library Portal will direct you seamlessly to the book content.

Kortext allows you to:

  • Access thousands of eBooks including many of your key and essential reading titles.
  • Read your eBooks on the go with the Kortext App
  • Personalise your reading with a range of accessibility features. You can customise font size, style, background colour and much more.
  • Access all of the tools you need for learning – you’ll be able to search, highlight text and make notes, copy and paste text, and print.

Remember, you can search all of the Library eBook collection by using the Library Portal; for more help and to see what has changed you can book onto one of our ‘How to find eBooks in the Library Portal’ workshops.

These sessions will cover how to make the best use of the eBook platforms available through the Library Portal and show you how you can improve your research skills.

 We’ll look at:

  • What’s new and what’s changing with our eBook platforms
  • How to simultaneously search multiple eBook platforms using the Library Portal
  • How to navigate and make use of advanced features in some of our eBook platforms

The workshops will run online, last 60 minutes and include time for a Q&A section. They’ll be held on:

  • 24th June 15:00-16:00 BST
  • 1st July 14:00-15:00 BST
  • 10th July 10:00-11:00 BST
  • 16th July 11:00-12:00 BST
  • 23rd July 15:00-16:00 BST

You can sign up for a place on a workshop below:

You can also watch a short video which takes you through using Kortext and demonstrates the platform's key features: Kortext Demo.

Don’t forget: you can help us build the Library’s eBook collection! If you need a title for your study or research and we don’t currently have it, you can make a request for us to purchase it for the Library and we’ll buy it if we can. Just fill in the form here: Request an eBook.

We are continuously working to give you the best student experience during your time at Arden University, and we hope you find using Kortext a positive experience.

If you have any questions, please do reach out to us at libraries@arden.ac.uk and we will come back to you as soon as possible.
