Happy New Year everyone!

For January’s Library Spotlight, we’re looking at Gale Research Complete which has a new look for 2024.

Gale Research Complete provides a broad range of collections offering a wealth of resources including eBooks, journals, newspapers, magazines, primary historical sources, English literature commentaries and business insights. Now, with their improved cross-search function, Gale has brought these collections together into one user-friendly space to make research even easier.

This means:

  • A single search bar to access all collections at the same time, meaning a broader range of results in one search.

  • An improved advanced search including options to focus results by content type and collection.

  • A Featured Collections section highlighting key resources of interest as well as a Suggested Collections feature recommending additional resources based on your search terms.

  • A new selection of video tutorials to support research and use of the platform.

You can access Gale Research Complete on every Subject Guide and via the A-Z List of Databases. Give it a try and see what Gale has to offer!

If you need any support when using Gale Research Complete, you can scroll to the bottom of any page and click on “Help”; there are a lot of guides and helpful tips waiting for you there. Your team of Assistant Librarians are also on hand to help if you need it, just send us an email at libraries@arden.ac.uk

Happy Researching!
